Luxor 2 Days Trip from Safaga Port (Private)

Departing Safaga, you’ll journey 160 km through the breathtaking Eastern Desert of Egypt, heading inland from the turquoise waters of the Red Sea toward the lush Nile valley. The first city you’ll reach on the Nile is Qena — located about 60 km north of Luxor. Altogether, the distance from Safaga to Luxor is approximately 280 km, taking around 3.5 hours of scenic driving.
The Karnak Temples:
No site in Egypt is more awe-inspiring than the Karnak Temple Complex — a magnificent record of devotion to the god Amun, where generations of pharaohs left their mark over more than 2,000 years. Walk 🏃 through the vast Great Hypostyle Hall, home to 134 towering columns, and make your way to the tranquil Sacred Lake 🌅. Covering 247 acres, Karnak is the largest religious complex ever built and a true masterpiece of ancient architecture.
Luxor Temple:
Next, visit the stunning Temple of Luxor — one of Egypt’s most beautiful and best-preserved temples. Known in ancient times as Ipt-Rsyt, meaning “The Southern Sanctuary,” this temple was built primarily by Amenhotep III and later expanded by Ramses II. It was dedicated to the rejuvenation of kingship and served as a ceremonial site where the pharaohs were believed to be reborn.
Lunch:
Enjoy a delicious lunch at a carefully selected local restaurant — included in your tour price (drinks are extra). Relax, recharge, and savor authentic Egyptian cuisine before continuing your day.
After lunch, check in to your 5-star hotel in Luxor to rest and freshen up after your journey.
In the evening, you may choose to attend the Sound and Light Show at Karnak Temples (optional, additional cost) — a magical experience where the history of Thebes comes alive through lights, sound, and storytelling among the ancient ruins.
Overnight stay in Luxor.
After you take your Breakfast at your hotel in Luxor and C/Out, you will be accompanied by your private tour guide and a private air-conditioned vehicle to visit the west bank of Luxor visiting the Valley of the Kings.
Possibility of optional Hot Air Ballooning over the West Bank (additional cost). Before breakfast.
The Valley of the Kings:
the burial ground of the pharaohs rulers from the 18th to 20th dynasty, For a period of 500 years beginning in the 16th century BC, tombs were built along this valley for pharaohs, including that of the great Pharaoh Ramses II and boy Pharaoh Tutankhamen. Found in 1922 by British 🎩 archaeologist and Egyptologist Howard Carter. The tomb of Tutankhamun is extra paid, 360 Egyptian pound each, over there they don't accept any cash, so if you are interested make sure your cards.
Next visit will be to the temple of the queen Hatshepsut.
The Temple of Hatshepsut:
Temple of Hatshepsut, ancient Egypt’s first female pharaoh , She came to power during the New Kingdom after the death of her father, Tuthmose I, and her half-brother and husband, Tuthmose II, who succeeded her father on the thrown.
The colossal of Memnon:
Two massive stone statues of king Amenhotep III are the only remains of a complete mortuary temple. The statues are made from blocks of quartzite stone which exist in Cairo then moved 700 KM to Luxor. representing the king Amenhotep III sitting on his throne flanking the entrance of his own temple. After the historical background you will get some free time for photographing 📷.
Next visit will be the restaurant for 🍴
Lunch:
lunch will be served in a nice local restaurant, it's including in the tour, just the drinks are extra paid.
Finally you start the journey back to Safaga Port, first driving from the west bank to the east bank using Luxor bridge, from the east bank driving the same way back to the city, again a rest stop in the middle of the way in the same coffee shop you used in the 1st day morning for breakfast, from the rest stop one more hour and half driving to your hotel in Safaga Port.
